Electronic Arts Inc. - Dead Space Project

Hi again,

as I told ya in my previous post there is a massive project going on.

Dead Space is Electronic Arts’ new entry into the sci-fi horror genre. The development crew is excited to be working on this bold, new original intellectual property for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Gamers will experience tension and terror in deep space. 

We are passionate about this game and want you to join this team. There are 4 positions on the team, 3 temporary plus one full time role potentially (Redwood Shores, CA).

We are looking for talented dark artists to:

  • Model and texture high resolution, 3D environments
  • Collaborate with our Level Designer to create gameplay-rich environments
  • Work with our Art Director to hit our visual bar
  • Meet schedule deadlines

Qualifications:

  • A link to strong portfolio that demonstrates solid modeling and texturing skills
  • 3 – 10+ years of game industry experience (we are looking for talented people so years of experience is wide open)
  • Strong knowledge of Maya
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university or equivalent industry experience

DarkScenario.com hires for Electronic Arts Inc.

We are recruiting outstanding artists for the new Electronic Arts Inc. project.
EA is in process of developing a first of it’s kind dark fiction horror action game. They have several of the top horror film directors consulting on the project, and a lot of other interesting and professional people working together.

Here are some basic requirements:

  • First of all, you should have time. EA is aiming for 6+ month contracts for you to come in and develop environmental art. If you are locked in other projects it won’t match.
  • You should have a professional background and/or can prove that you have the right background with games or in movies. This will be a huge project so this requirement is necessary. You may contact me even without this requirement, but you will need to prove your outstanding art quality AND that you can work in an environmental artist role. Remember you will face professional people and they will look very close at your skills.
